Storied Studios is dedicated to spending a percentage of our time supporting our partners working on the front lines of change. We do this by capturing these events to create a capsule of media that can be used for advocacy and awareness. One of our great friends and an inspiring leader, Dr. Shoshana Ungerleider, is a tireless advocate for reimagining and reengineering end of life experiences. Shoshana, the Executive Producer of the Academy-nominated End Game, created the End Well symposium. For one day, once a year, innovative thinkers from palliative care, technology, business, design, sociology, healthcare, patient advocacy and more come together to pool resources and have game-changing conversations about the one thing most people avoid talking about, death. And how to have a good death. We were there this year in San Francisco with Shoshana interviewing both speakers and attendees at the event. The conversations with Jermie Saunders, Alexandra Drane and Alex McGill Johnson, among others, were some of the most memorable we’ve had.
This wasn’t our first time getting caught up in Shoshana’s infectious vision. We stood proudly under the stage with our cameras for the March For Our Lives San Francisco as the people of San Francisco demanded more common sense gun laws. The event, pulled together by Shoshana and a team of incredible women, featured a host of compelling calls to action from a spoken-word poet asking to help free his neighborhoods from bullets to twin middle-school girls imploring all of us to keep their schools safe.
As we continue to grow Storied Studios, we will continue to support visionaries like Shoshana and causes that we believe dovetail with our mission.
